UYO
We're getting ready for the next Understanding
Yourself and Others (UYO) course on August
18th-21st.
The theme for our Understanding Yourself
and Others course August 18th will be Family
Reunion. Many of us spend time with our families over
the summer and reunite with family members. Come
and be part of our family reunion at the Center. Our
instructors will be Mark Geisler and Christine
Rousseau from Austin.
Don't forget to let us know if you have any
friends, family or aquaintances that may be
interested in the course. You help keep this work
alive by passing it on to those you care about. If you
need some help give Sparkle a call at 239-337-7333.
See what our graduates have to
say... "My husband and I took the course at
the recommendation of friends. We went into it with
no real knowledge of how the course works. The
course and the work we did has left us with a sense
of freedom and peace--in our relationship with one
another, our children and others. Our 15 year
marriage is at an all-time high! We look forward to
continuing GRC coursework in the near future."

Hello!
July has been a very busy month. We had two
Understanding Yourself and Others courses as well as
two Conventions and a family vacation all in a thirty-
one day period. So there is much to report in this
August letter.
Our Understanding Yourself and Others
course is designed to have 24 people in the course,
so that it will be small enough to allow personal
attention and support, yet big enough to bring in a
cross section amongst the participants which
represent the complexity of what we normally
encounter in society. Our July class size was 16
people and it was so exciting to have a more complex
set of situations.
As I’ve mentioned before there is usually a
theme and the theme for this course was
relationships with fathers and daughters. We had
three sets of fathers and daughters. One daughter
said, “Why doesn’t everyone take this course! I’m
going to let everyone know about it!” One father
said, “I’ve resisted taking this course for five years.
Why did I wait so long? I’m so grateful my wife didn’t
give up on me!”
We develop our self-concept when we are small,
helpless infants and toddlers. At that time everyone
else in our world is bigger, more competent and more
capable than we are. What our course explores is
how we underestimate ourselves when we needed
others and see how we maintain that opinion we had
formed earlier. Yet, it doesn't always have to be a
traumatic experience to shake off those old beliefs.
In fact it is most often a very freeing experience.
One adult said, “This growing up stuff is pretty fun.”
Don't forget the joys of assisting. The
assistants come to “angel” and they too come away
from the course with so much healing and clarity
about themselves.
One assistant was able to connect with a
student who had a liver transplant. The assistant’s
daughter died suddenly and her organs were given to
someone. Meeting this person inspired her to find the
person who has her daughter’s liver so she can meet
the person whose life is continuing thanks to her
daughter’s organ. After each course I walk away
knowing that we are all interdependent.
This month's Kid UYO was tremendous! Sparkle, Mark
Geisler, Beth LeFevre and I all arrived
home late Sunday evening from our Conventions and
on Monday morning, July 24th came to the Center to
have the Kid’s UYO course with 16 bright, energetic
children ready to have three days together. My
daughter, Sabrina, took a very active role in seeing
that the students were enrolled, forms were handled
and everyone felt welcomed on Monday morning. It is
very exciting for me to see the team of people who
are working to make our Center a community of
people who care for each other. I’m very grateful.
The most profound experience I witness
each time during the Kid’s UYO course is the building
of team. The final exercise has all of the children
working together to figure out how all of them can
cross the “River of Lava” safely within a short
amount of time. They were down to the last three
minutes and the tension was high, but they
completed the task and all of them proudly
stated, “So, will you use your personal power!” A
nice potluck, demonstration of what the children had
learned was shared with the parents and a closing
Graduation finalized the three-day course. Everyone
went home and I am sure slept well.
It was an awesome way to re-enter after being
inspired to do the work that we are doing to make
the world a more peaceful place for our future
generations.
Much love and blessings to all of you,
Willo

INSTRUCTOR CANDIDATES

Our instructor candidates are such an integral part of
the Center. There are several candidates who are
getting closer to teaching. Charlie Howe passed her
redirect and plans to third UYO in January 2007. Jan
Davisson is almost finished with her LYO course work,
which is a two-year process. Beth and Joe Sexton
will be in Austin much of August, taking UYO IC,
Money Freedom IC and attending Refreshing
Relationship. Adele Woodrow just completed a LYO IC
weekend before she left to go on her “dream” cruise
with her family, a dream she determined in her UYO
course. Charlie Campbell and Willo will be going to
Austin to have the second session of Money
Freedom. Larry and Terri Eisenfeld returned from the
Convention very close to being ready to teach
Refreshing Relationships and they decided to sign up
to take the Money Freedom IC so they can
incorporate it with couples when they are teaching
Refreshing Relationships. Our newest instructor
candidate is a student from the last UYO course,
Justin Albino. Congratulations to Justin for taking the
step to learn to teach these classes.

A MIGHTY OAK IS FELLED

As most of you know our founder, Bill Reidler recently
passed. His wife, Beth Reidler is now the CEO of
Global Relationship Centers. Last month was the
Annual Global Convention. Sparkle Simmons was the
Center representative at the Global Convention.
Many changes and transitions are
happening at GRC with the death of Bill Riedler, our
founder. Yet, even in this time of grief there are
many great things happening. This first Global
Convention without Bill was a very healing
and emotional time for all who loved and respected
him so much.
The tone has been set for positive changes
within the organization to begin to take place with an
emphasis on providing even more support to center
owners and instructors so that we can pull together
in our efforts to increase awareness and see this
work continue and flourish to even greater
heights to honor Bill's legacy.
The new
organization leaders are as
follows: Beth Riedler is the owner and CEO, Pam Dunn
is the President, David Traub is in charge of the
courses, Evola Lampkin is Dean of Students, Megan
McNulty is responsible for the Instructor Candidates,
Liz Oubre is the bookkeeper. Janet Coates, who is an
Instructor and former Center owner from California, is
bringing her marketing genius to the Global table. She
stated very eloquently, “A giant oak tree has felled.
As in the forest the sun can now reach the smaller
trees that couldn’t get the light and grow to their
magnificence.”

WILLO'S DREAM

I have a dream of opening a Global Center in every
state of the United States. As I attended the Annual
Sunrider Convention this week this dream continues
to solidify for me. I see, as I work within both the
Global Relationship Centers organization and Sunrider,
how much good these 2 very different companies
bring to the world in helping people to take care of
both their emotional and physical well being. I see so
much how one affects the other in coming into
balance.
What we offer at Center To Self
Reliance strives to give you the knowledge and the
tools to bring yourself and your families the health,
wealth and happiness that you all deserve in all areas
of your life!
As I return from the Sunrider Convention I
have an intention that all Sunriders will be able to
take our Global courses and can see their
significence, equally as much as it is my wish to bring
Sunrider to people who work with GRC.
Many of you know how awesome the Global
courses are. A great many of you have experienced
real life change as a result of these courses. I'd love
to see everyone continue to build on that and learn
to put the same amount of energy into taking care of
their physical body. Sunrider is a great way to do
this!
I am in awe of the magnitude of Sunrider,
both the organization as well as the nutritional
products. When I was in the Convention Center with
people from 38 countries and the woman from Israel
asked if we, 1200 people just from the US, can be
silent for world peace in her country, I experience
how Sunrider is bringing peace to the world. We
speak a language everyone knows, “Are you drinking
Calli?” - “Here have some Sunny Dew.” Our bodies
are balanced and the agitation from not feeling well
and stressed due to poor health and lack of money is
reduced. The way the business is marketed is
through cooperation rather than competition—it’s
brilliant compensation.
I'd like to invite to come to the Center to
Self Reliance to learn more about how you can take
responsibility for your physical and financial well
being, as well as your emotional and mental well
being. We have a Sunrider meeting every Tuesday
evening at 7 PM, every Thursday at noon (this
meeting had been on Tues), and once a month on
Saturday from 1-3 PM. For the month of August plan
to attend on August 26th.
Taking care of ourselves, body, mind and soul is what
it's all about, so that we can be present to and enjoy
all that this beautiful state of being alive has to
offer. Health, Wealth and Happiness can be yours.
You deserve it! Call us at 239-337-7333 for more info.
