The next Understanding Yourself & Others
course will be held at the Gulf Coast Hospital. David
Traub from Austin, an IC square instructor will be
teaching with Sparkle Simmons and Willo Uhl. Sparkle
is a certified instructor, our own Center Manager,
and Willo is completing her instructor thirding
requirement. Our intention is to have 10 students!!
The dynamics are so amazing when you have a
combination of more people. Much more learning
happens. Let all of your friends and loved ones know
about the course so they can have the gift of the
UYO experience. Several mentioned how so many
people come out with a face lift! We have so much
fun. Come be a part of our joy, love and laughter!!

Hello,
Welcome to the October issue of our
newsletter! Balance, that's our watch word for the
month. Global courses provide the impetus for many
avenues to personal growth, not the least of which is
to heal your mistaken beliefs so that you can get
yourself in balance. Global courses give you the tools
and insights to balance your emotional, spiritual,
intellectual and physical aspects and ultimately
create the life you were meant to live! In fact, that
is what the diamond in our new logo represents.
Brian Tracy says, "Just as your car runs more
smoothly and requires less energy to go faster and
farther when the wheels are in perfect alignment,
you perform better when your thoughts, feelings,
emotions, goals, and values are in balance."
Both men and women need to strive for balance and
break through gender stereotyping. For the first time
since I've owned the Center we had a majority of
men in the class. We had five men and one woman.
It was one of the most emotional and heartfelt
classes I've experienced. It was beautiful to witness
the depth of the men's emotional opening to express
their deep feelings of sensitivity, love and
tenderness. I wish everyone could have been present
to experience this.
If you haven't assisted yet, I can only speak the
words to tell you how much your presence would
mean, not only to others, but to yourself. If you
come, I promise you'll feel as much, if not more than
when you were a student! I'd like to urge all
our angels to please come as often as you can so
you don't miss out on the love on a monthly
basis. It can fill your cup so full and carry you to a
better understanding of yourself and give you a
deeper appreciation of each person in your life. I
treasure the connection we make with each person
when we share the weekend together.
Let's keep striving to strike that perfect balance in
our lives. I can't wait to see you again!

Children's Behavior.

| October Social: Get Spooky! |

October 30th
It's our first Halloween party. So save the date.
It
will be from 4-8 at the Woodrow residence at 6565
Babcock Street. Come dressed in your costumes,
bring a dish to share for a potluck and be prepared to
go on a Halloween walk. Douglas Woodrow has some
interesting things planned for all the guests.

| Gather The Women |

November 11-12
Gather the Women is an event that will take you
through a doorway and into a beautiful field where
you will see yourself and your dreams mirrored in the
eyes of your sisters. You will leave ready to take
action on the things that are important to you and
share in the support of like minded, powerful and
compassionate people.
On Friday evening and Saturday, November 11th-
12th Naples will be host to the Gather the Women ~
Build the Field at St. Monica's Episcopal Church.
Women from all over South Florida will be attending.
This is part of a national event taking place the same
weekend.
The speakers and ‘playshops’ are outstanding and
the price is right. Early registration is October 1st.
Choice of playshops is first come, first serve when
you register. Space is limited.

| Breakthrough Workshop |

October 29 and 30
Breakthrough is an intensive workship designed to
assist participants through "unfinished business" that
is creating blocks within their lives. These blocks
prevent us from moving through the many losses in
our lives. This workshop will assist in removing the
blocks to love's presence which is our birth right.
This work was designed by Elizabeth Kubler Ross and
what she called the externalization process. There
will be art interpretations, singing, and close group
bonding. Joellen Lundin, from Baton Rouge, will be
teaching the course. She has a master's degree in
social work, ordained minister, and trained with Dr
Kubler Ross for fourteen years. She has been
facilitating these workshops since 1994. The cost is
$350 with a minimum of 5 people. Please call Willo at
